It all started when I was working as a consultant helping manufacturers implement ISO compliant paper based quality systems. There was so much time spent pushing paper around that I started looking for software solutions, only to find there were almost no options priced for smaller manufacturers.
So in 2000 I started a small software company that was dedicated to providing its customers with cutting edge software solutions that improve all aspects of their quality system that I could price in a range even the smallest company could afford.
The other idea I had was to let my customer base play a major role in the software's evolution by developing ways to react quickly to their input. This rapid update ability turned out to be one of it's better features, as my customers love it that I can respond so quickly to their needs. Although I'm sure my competitors hate it, as it simply can't be matched.
Incorporated in 2000, The Lean Machine has been serving a variety of industries, both manufacturing and non-manufacturing and now has a world wide customer base that includes the US, Canada, Mexico, Singapore, Australia, and Puerto Rico.
The combined effect of our rapid update ability and listening to our customers is that we can offer customizable software at an "off the self" price which contains the collective wisdom and experience of quality managers from all over the world.
